Within the scope of Logistic Solutions, BOS can be ideally used for incoming goods, outgoing goods and order picking.
Origin
The BOS was designed as a Logistic Solutions to quickly open incoming cartons / parcels in large quantities - up to 600 pieces per hour. Four cut variants are now available for this purpose: Complete cut, partial cut, hinge cut and tape cut.
The type of opening can be freely selected via a control display.
Types of cut
The complete cut - also called height cut - and optionally the vertical cut - cut cartons to a desired format in order to optimise the volume of the cartons for shipping - and this with the same cutter heads as in the incoming goods department.
Application
The already picked cartons enter the cutting area of the BOS open and are cut according to choice:
- With the complete cut, the cardboard is cut off above the goods plus a safety margin all around.
- With the vertical cut, the cardboard is cut on all four corners to the desired height - again plus a safety margin.
The boxes drive out of the BOS and can then be sealed in further work steps.
Important: Since each carton is measured individually, the BOS can process cartons chaotically.
Due to the standardised roller conveyor, the BOS can be easily integrated into existing transport lines with packaging machines, palletisers, robots, etc.
Benefit
By optimising the size of the carton, the required freight space and thus the transport costs are significantly reduced. This automatic package opener is also ideally suited for outgoing goods.
